No covers yet, but I’ve just turned in copyedits on OUT WITH A FANG (included in the UNDEAD IN MY BED anthology) and am working on copyedits for DESPERATELY SEEKING SHAPESHIFTER. I’ve also learned that we just sold audio rights to the first two books, so those should be available later this year. Exciting!

No news means I’m hard at work! DESPERATELY SEEKING SHAPESHIFTER has been edited and I’m just waiting on copyedits. Also, the anthology has a name (THE UNDEAD IN MY BED). Fun!

If you are in the Grapevine, TX area, I’ll be attending the Cover Girls Book Club Christmas Party on December 13th at Cozymel’s by Grapevine Mills Mall. The fun starts at 6pm and I’ll be signing copies of my recent release!

I’m working on edits for Sara’s book, which will come out next fall. As soon as I have a title/date, I’ll share it!

Just got a fancypants review over on Booklist (you need a log in to see it). They said that BEAUTY DATES THE BEAST “possesses humor and a protective male character” and “This will likely be a popular series.” Hey, I will take that! From their lips to you know who’s ears.

I’ve also just turned in the sequel to BEAUTY DATES THE BEAST, and once you read that book, I think you can guess who book #2 is about. It was a lot of fun to write, so I’m anxious for it to come out in 2012 so I can share it! Also, I had a nibble of interesting news and will share that when I can.

Two early reviews!

Publishers Weekly says that Beauty Dates the Beast is “funny, sexy, and lively” and  “the adorable relationship between Bathsheba and Beau drives the story and will leave readers eager for more.”  Yay!!

Also, RT Book Reviews gave it 4 stars and says “Through the all-too-human Bathsheba Ward and the Midnight Liaisons agency, Sims introduces a world that is both dangerous and humorous. Add a heroine who is plucky and brave and a hero who is sexy and powerful, and you get a story filled with sizzle and spark!”

Can’t wait for it to come out! Not too long now!

A few people have asked me why I haven’t updated the cover art for the website yet, or posted a sample chapter. I’m just as eager as you guys to put them up! But the truth of the matter is that publishing is a business with many layers, and each of those layers has an approval process. There’s a cover up on Goodreads (if you really can’t stand waiting!) but it’s not the final cover and so it’s only a close, washed-out approximation. I actually can’t share the cover until it gets finalized, but as soon as it is, it’ll be on this website. I promise!

Ditto for the first chapter. The last version I have on my computer is pre-copyedit and pre-galleys, so it’d be nothing like the final version in the book! Which can get confusing, right? So I want to wait until I get the approved version and then I’ll put it up.

In the meantime, I love that everyone is so excited about this book. I’m really excited too! If you have questions or comments, I’m always happy to answer them. Just drop me a line.
